Teachers’ Report Card Preparation Day
School Closed for PupilsDear Parents,
As we approach the final two weeks of the academic year, we are pleased to share the key events and updates that will shape this important period for our school community. These concluding weeks mark the culmination of our pupils’ progress and efforts, highlighted by the Graduation Ceremony—a moment of pride for our departing learners and their families.
From Monday to Thursday, 2 to 5 June, pupils in Primary and Secondary School will participate in the Final Term Examinations for Term 2. We appreciate your continued support in ensuring punctuality and a focused atmosphere during this period. Dismissal times may differ from regular school hours, especially for pupils involved in graduation performances. Please refer to the Graduation Practice Schedule previously shared via Edupage. These rehearsals, led by Ms. Aulia and her team, are in preparation for a meaningful and memorable ceremony.
Starting 4 June, we will distribute a Parent Teacher Conference Booking System via Edupage where parents can book a 10 minutes duration of consultations with Form and Subject Teachers. On 6 June, we extend our best wishes to the community for a blessed Eid al-Adha.
On Saturday, 7 June, GMIS will host its academic Open House from 09:00 to 14:00. The event welcomes both current families and members of the wider public. Featured activities include the International GCSE Tester Experience, where prospective pupils will engage with authentic Cambridge-style academic tasks, alongside Korean Reading Clubs and cultural enrichment. This day offers an excellent opportunity to showcase our programme and community spirit.
On Monday, 9 June, Preschool and Primary pupils will embark on their year-end Field Trip, running from 08:00 to 13:00. The event is coordinated by Ms. Dipi and Ms. Nadine, with oversight from Supervisors Ms. Citra and Ms. Irene. Please note that drop-off and pick-up will be arranged directly by parents at the venue. We kindly ask families to adhere closely to the stated arrival and dismissal times. And the review of answer scripts day for Senior School pupils.
The 10 and 11 June during which teachers and the Vice Principal will prepare pupil report cards. The school will remain closed to all pupils on these two days.
On Thursday, 12 June, the school remains closed to pupils as we conduct the Parent–Teacher Conference (PTC) from 08:00 to 12:00. Appointments will follow the pre-booking system. During this time, parents may also complete textbook and uniform bookings for the upcoming academic year. We are pleased to introduce the first batch of pre-orders for our redesigned PE uniforms, featuring a more breathable material. The existing uniform remains valid for use. Pre-orders can be placed during PTC or directly through the Front Office.
We expect a prompt PTC as in the afternoon from 13:00 to 16:00, all teachers and staff will attend the final graduation rehearsal at the designated venue.
The week concludes with the Graduation Ceremony on Friday, 13 June 2025, for graduates and their families from 17:00 to 21:00. Performers are scheduled from 17:00 and will return home after their performance. Parents are responsible for bringing and collecting their children from the venue. This occasion will celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates and honour the essential role of their families and teachers. A special feature of this year’s ceremony is the flower-giving moment, during which each graduate will present a bouquet of flowers to their parent. Families wishing to take part in this gesture may opt for the Special Ticket category.
The ticket options for the ceremony are as follows: the Standard Ticket is available at IDR 250,000 per attending parent or family member, while the Special Ticket, which includes one bouquet of flowers for the flower-giving segment, is priced at IDR 300,000. Payments must be completed no later than 7 June 2025 to the GMIS account.
We would also like to confirm that the first day of the Academic Year 2025/2026 is scheduled for Monday, 21 July 2025. This allows for a three-week term break following graduation, enabling families to prepare accordingly for the new school year. I’m excited to welcome 15 new pupils and families starting July in our community!
We thank you for your continued partnership and support as we conclude this academic year. Let us come together to celebrate our pupils’ learning journey and mark this important transition with purpose and joy.
Warm regards,
GMIS Semarang Leadership TeamNews
